School Nurse

Winchester College has a rare part-time vacancy for a qualified Nurse in the school Medical Centre. Working alongside the Lead Nurse, the principal responsibility of the Nurse is the provision of medical care for pupils and, where appropriate, staff and visitors, and for the efficient operation of the Medical Centre. The Medical Centre supports the whole school and is operational 24 hours a day, 7 days a week in term time.

Candidates must be RSCN or RGN qualified.

The College requires the Medical Centre to be staffed 24 hours a day, seven days a week in term time. The shifts available are: 0700 - 1400 (7 hours); 1330 - 2030 (7 hours); 2000 - 0730 (11.5 hours (7 hours permitted sleep time when appropriate).

Apprentice IT Technician

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Apprentice Technician with the IT Services at Winchester College. This vacancy is for a full-time post and will suit an enthusiastic and positive person with a keen interest in a career in IT. School/college leavers post-exams, or those seeking a career change will be considered, as full training will be provided, including course IT accreditation.

The successful candidate will need to have a friendly professional attitude and a passion for IT, and will be self-motivated and willing to work as part of a team in an educational environment over a wide-ranging campus.

Director of Communications

Winchester College seeks to make an appointment to the new role of Director of Communications. The successful applicant will be responsible for the development and implementation of a new, strategic policy in this area, and will lead an inspiring and integrated approach to communications over the whole campus.

The ideal candidate must be able to demonstrate the ability to establish and sustain strong relationships with all stakeholders. Knowledge of the educational environment is an advantage but not essential.

Domestics (Weekend and Evenings)

Winchester College has vacancies for reliable people to work as Domestics (weekend and evenings) in several Boarding Houses, carrying out general cleaning duties and assisting in the Dining Room serving meals. The ideal candidates must be self-motivated and able to work both on their own and as part of a team, and should display a high level of integrity and attention to detail. These roles are term-time only, working various shifts, from weekends 9.00am to 2.00pm to evenings (Monday to Sunday) 5.00pm to 7.00pm.
