HEADMASTER'S SECRETARY (Executive Assistant)

The school seeks to make an appointment to the position of Secretary to the Headmaster in early Autumn. This is a substantial and key role in the school. The successful applicant will have extensive administrative and secretarial experience at the most senior management level. Exceptional interpersonal skills, confidentiality and time management are essential.

This is a full time position, Monday to Friday, with regular Saturday mornings during term time.

Winchester College - School Nurse

Winchester College has a rare part-time vacancy for a qualified Nurse in the school Medical Centre. Working alongside the Lead Nurse, the principal responsibility of the Nurse is the provision of medical care for pupils and, where appropriate, staff and visitors, and for the efficient operation of the Medical Centre. The Medical Centre supports the whole school and is operational 24 hours a day, 7 days a week in term time.

Candidates must be RSCN or RGN qualified.

The College requires the Medical Centre to be staffed 24 hours a day, seven days a week in term time. The shifts available are: 0700 - 1400 (7 hours); 1330 - 2030 (7 hours); 2000 - 0730 (11.5 hours (7 hours permitted sleep time when appropriate).

This position is for 25 hours per week, term time only.

Recreation Assistant (LIFEGUARD) - Full-time

Winchester College has a vacancy in the team at the PE Centre for a Recreation Assistant (Lifeguard). The successful candidate will need to be flexible as regards working hours, reliable and a committed team-player. They will be involved in all key aspects of operational services across all areas of the PE Centre, including the Fitness Room, Sports Hall, Pool and Reception. A National Pool Lifeguard qualification and a Level 2 Fitness Certificate are essential; however, training will be provided if necessary.

This permanent post will be worked over a seven-day shift pattern, working 40 hours, with a requirement for at least one weekend per month.

Resident Housekeeper Matron (EXCELLENT SALARY AND BENEFITS)

Winchester College has a vacancy for a Resident Housekeeper/Matron. Founded by Royal Charter in 1382, Winchester remains one of England's premier independent schools, with a firmly established and enviable reputation. It has 700 pupils accommodated in eleven boarding houses. Working collaboratively with the Housemaster, the Housekeeper/Matron is accountable for the pastoral care and well-being of up to 65 boys aged 13-18 years. He/she must have an adaptable professional approach in order to manage the House, House Surgery, domestic staff and everything from supply ordering to the upkeep of accounts. He/she also liaises with parents and the school's Medical Centre on medical and welfare matters and must be fully prepared to respond to emergencies. A full clean driving licence and a car of his/her own are essential.

Senior Accountant/Analyst

Winchester College is seeking to appoint a qualified Senior Accountant/Analyst to work closely with the College's Chief Accountant. The role has both administrative and strategic aspects.

We are looking for someone with a proactive approach, someone who is organised, efficient, and has an outstanding understanding of financial procedures and processes.
The successful candidate will demonstrate experience of providing strategic and financial support up to Board level with strong communication skills, both in writing and in person.

Familiarity with schools and charities and charity accounting, whilst not essential, would be a distinct advantage.

Domestics (Weekend and Evenings)

Winchester College has vacancies for reliable people to work as Domestics (weekend and evenings) in several Boarding Houses, carrying out general cleaning duties and assisting in the Dining Room serving meals. The ideal candidates must be self-motivated and able to work both on their own and as part of a team, and should display a high level of integrity and attention to detail. These roles are term-time only, working various shifts, from weekends 9.00am to 2.00pm to evenings (Monday to Sunday) 5.00pm to 7.00pm.
