Cloister Time 2018

Winchester College

School Trips

Boys at Winchester are encouraged to participate in school trips throughout their time at the school. Some form part of academic courses and occur during term time but most are optional trips during the school holidays. Every trip provides a valuable educational experience that help boys develop into well rounded young men.

Financial support, particularly for trips considered an essential part of the normal curriculum, may be available. At most, a pupil might receive support for one trip per academic year. Enquires, which will be handled in the strictest confidence, should be directed to the Bursar, Steven Little.

It is a school policy that boys on trips abroad must have the NHS recommended vaccinations. Vaccinations are usually completed in the medical center during term time. Unless otherwise specified, their cost is included in the trip's overall price. Information about the vaccinations required can be obtained from the School's Medical Centre. Any circumstances that preclude a boy from having the recommended vaccinations must be highlighted to the Medical Centre staff at the earliest opportunity so their participation in the trip can be evaluated by the School's GPs.

Information about upcoming trips can be found in the table below.
